The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Flap Disc 967A measures 4-1/2" x 7/8" and features an 80 grit ceramic grain type 27 wheel, designed for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces and outside edgework. This flap disc is particularly effective in paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication, where achieving a final finish and gouge resistance is crucial. It utilizes 3M's precision-shaped grain technology, which maintains super-sharp points for fast cutting with reduced pressure, minimizing the risk of metal discoloration and heat-related stress cracks. The flaps are engineered to grind and blend in a single step, and the durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing promotes controlled, even wear throughout the disc's lifespan. Additionally, the incorporation of a grinding aid helps to lower grinding temperatures, making it suitable for use on heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys.
