The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Light Deburring Wheel measures 12" x 1/2" x 5" and features a fine grit silicon carbide abrasive. This smooth-running, convolute-constructed wheel is designed for light deburring, polishing, and finishing, providing a clean system that requires less operator effort due to its soft construction and smooth operation. It offers a moderate degree of conformability and density to maintain critical tolerances while delivering a fine polished finish. The unique resin system minimizes smearing and reduces heat build-up, allowing the wheel to run cool and resist loading thanks to its non-woven web construction, which reduces the risk of part discoloration and warping while extending wheel life. Silicon carbide, a synthetic mineral used for low-pressure applications like paint preparation, produces a superior finish despite breaking down faster than aluminum oxide. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating a system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life.
