The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Unitized Wheel measures 1 1/2" x 1/8" x 3/16" with a medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive, designed to smooth, deburr, and finish edges on metal alloys, plastics, and composites. It features a soft, conformable consistency available in densities ranging from very soft 2 to hard, aggressive 8 for maximum cut and durability, providing a clean edge without smearing and reducing additional cleanup. Optimized for die grinder use, the wheel minimizes heat buildup, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials. It contains abrasive minerals embedded in non-woven nylon fibers, utilizing an open-web material that resists clogging while delivering consistent performance over the product life. Available in aluminum oxide grades from fine to extra coarse and silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades, this surface conditioning product is ideal for blending and deburring applications across industries such as builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
