The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL deburring wheel measures 12" x 1/2" x 5" with a 8s grit silicon carbide abrasive, designed with a hard, dense consistency for quickly deburring, finishing, and polishing various metals, composites, and glass to leave a smooth, clean surface. Its conformable nature makes it ideal for deburring stamped or laser-cut parts and finishing after belt sanding. The convolute construction ensures clean, uniform wear for smooth operation and a professional finish while minimizing operator fatigue. The Scotch-Brite™ EXL wheel operates cool, with uniform wear and continuously exposed fresh abrasives, enhancing performance especially on heat-sensitive substrates, and its toughness extends service life. Available with silicon carbide, a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure applications like paint prep and finishing, or aluminum oxide, a hard mineral offering high cut-rate and longevity; silicon carbide breaks down faster but yields a finer finish. The wheel's abrasive system combines abrasives embedded in non-woven nylon fibers creating an open-web material that resists loading and clogging, maintaining consistent high-performance cutting.
