The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Disc measures 11-1/4" in diameter and features a non-woven high-ventilation (NH VFN) design with aluminum oxide abrasive mineral, providing effective blending, cleaning, and polishing on materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, wood, and fiberglass. The disc's flexible and conformable material allows it to access hard-to-reach areas, making it suitable for finishing, paint preparation, surface blending, scuffing, contour finishing, and lacquer sanding. Aluminum oxide provides a hard, blocky mineral that offers a high cut rate and long life, producing consistent conditioning properties while running cool and resisting loading. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product's life by maintaining an open-web structure that prevents loading. The disc is designed for low-pressure applications and is available with silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or talc abrasive minerals—the latter two providing alternative finishes from fine to satin or high gloss when used with polish.
