The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel measures 4" x 1/4" x 1/4" with a fine grit aluminum oxide abrasive. This tightly layered, durable wheel is available in medium to hard densities and is designed for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals, providing excellent performance for applications requiring small diameters and narrow widths. The wheel combines aluminum oxide mineral with a tough nylon web, delivering uniform results through its tightly layered unitized construction that produces a smooth-running, fast-cutting wheel which runs cool and resists loading. Aluminum oxide is chosen for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, making it suitable for grinding a wide variety of substrates including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating an abrasive system that maintains consistent cutting performance for the life of the product by limiting clogging and maintaining cool operation.
