The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ cut and polish unitized wheel measures 3" x 1/4" x 1/4" and features a fine grit aluminum oxide abrasive. This tightly layered, durable wheel is available in medium to hard densities and is designed for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals, particularly in portable applications. It serves as an excellent choice for jobs that require small diameters and narrow widths and can replace conventional abrasive products like rubber bonded and small set-up wheels. The wheel's aluminum oxide mineral combines with a tough nylon web, providing uniform results through a smooth running, fast cutting wheel that runs cool and resists loading. Filled with a durable aluminum oxide abrasive, which self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, the wheel offers high cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, making it suitable for a wide variety of substrates in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
