The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Cut and Polish Unitized Wheel measures 3" x 1/4" x 3/8" and features fine grit aluminum oxide abrasive mineral integrated into a tightly layered, durable, unitized wheel available in medium to hard densities. Designed for aggressive deburring, blending, and finishing on harder metals, this wheel is suitable for applications requiring portability and provides an excellent starting point for jobs needing small diameters and narrow widths. It replaces many conventional abrasive products such as rubber bonded wheels and small set-up wheels. The wheel’s aluminum oxide abrasive, combined with a tough nylon web, produces uniform results, running cool while resisting loading due to its tightly layered unitized construction and aggressive properties. Aluminum oxide is chosen for its high cut-rate, hardness, strength, low heat retention, and ability to self-fracture, exposing fresh cutting edges, making it suitable for a wide variety of substrates, including ferrous alloys, in both woodworking and metalworking applications. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating an abrasive system that delivers consistent results throughout the product life.
