Scotch-Brite™ Clean and Finish Discs combine conformable material and abrasive mineral to effectively blend, clean, and polish surfaces on a wide variety of materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, wood, and fiberglass, producing a clean, consistent finish without undercutting or damaging the base material. These discs are designed for finishing, paint preparation, surface blending, and scuffing applications, and are particularly effective for contour finishing and lacquer sanding. The flexible nature of the discs allows them to access hard-to-reach areas while maintaining uniform finishes. The abrasive minerals used include silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, and talc. Silicon carbide is a synthetic mineral known for its sharpness and suitability for low-pressure applications, while aluminum oxide offers a high cut-rate and long life. Talc serves as a mild abrasive ideal for achieving satin finishes or high gloss in topcoat rubbing. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives feature abrasives incorporated into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating a system that ensures consistent results throughout the product's life.
