The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Multi-Finishing Wheel measures 6" x 4" x 1" with medium grit silicon carbide abrasive and features a convolute construction designed for cleaning and final finishing of stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other metals. The wheel combines mineral grades and soft density, making it well suited for final finishing applications that require high conformability and less density, ideal for producing #3 or #4 finishes on curved, contoured, and flat surfaces. It runs cool and resists loading due to its open-web construction, which reduces the risk of part discoloration and warping while extending wheel life. The Multi-Finishing Wheel is available in coarse, medium, and fine abrasive grades, utilizing silicon carbide, a sharp synthetic mineral commonly used for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation, which breaks down faster than aluminum oxide but provides a superior finish. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating a system that maintains consistent results throughout the product's life. The open-web material limits clogging, keeping the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance.
