The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Flap Disc 967A is designed for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces or outside edgework, making it particularly suitable for paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication where a high-quality final finish and gouge resistance are essential. This disc features 3M Precision Shaped Grain, which maintains super-sharp points that enhance cutting speed while minimizing the required pressure, leading to cooler operation and reduced metal discoloration or oxidation, as well as a decreased risk of heat-related stress cracks. Its flaps are engineered to grind and blend in a single step, while the durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing ensures controlled, even wear for full utilization of the disc. Additionally, a grinding aid is incorporated to lower grinding temperatures, making it ideal for heat-sensitive materials like stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys. Common applications include edge beveling, edge chamfering, right angle grinding, weld removal, and finishing.
