The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Unitized Wheel measures 3" x 1/2" x 3/8" and features medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive minerals embedded into non-woven nylon fibers, delivering consistent edge smoothing, deburring, and finishing for metal alloys, plastics, and composites. This unitized wheel offers a soft, conformable consistency with density options ranging from very soft 2 density for maximum conformability to hard 8 density for aggressive cutting and durability. Designed for use on a die grinder, it minimizes heat buildup, making it suitable for heat-sensitive materials. The open-web, load-resistant material limits clogging to maintain high grinding performance and provides a clean edge without smearing, reducing cleanup needs. Available in aluminum oxide grades fine, medium, coarse, and extra coarse, as well as silicon carbide in very fine and fine grades, the wheel is ideal for applications such as blending and deburring.
