The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Deburring Wheel measures 14" x 2" x 8" with a fine grit silicon carbide abrasive. This wheel features a hard, dense consistency that efficiently deburrs, finishes, and polishes various metals, composites, and glass while leaving a smooth, clean surface. Its conformable design is ideal for deburring stamped or laser-cut parts and for finishing after belt sanding, producing a clean surface without smearing and reducing additional cleanup. The convolute construction ensures uniform wear and smooth operation, helping operators achieve a professional finish with minimal fatigue. The Scotch-Brite material runs cool, providing uniform wear and continuous exposure of fresh abrasives, making it suitable for heat-sensitive substrates. The wheel is available with silicon carbide or aluminum oxide abrasives; silicon carbide is sharp and suited for low-pressure applications like paint preparation and finishing, providing a finer finish but breaking down faster, whereas aluminum oxide offers a higher cut rate and longer life. Scotch-Brite incorporates abrasives into non-woven nylon fibers, creating a load-resistant abrasive system that limits clogging and maintains high cutting performance.
