The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Multi-Finishing Wheel measures 6" x 3" x 1" and is constructed with a convolute design using CRS grit silicon carbide abrasive. It provides cleaning and final finishing for stainless steel, aluminum, brass, copper, and other metals, producing #3 or #4 finishes on curved, contoured, and flat surfaces. The wheel combines mineral grades and soft density for applications requiring high conformability and less density. Its open-web construction allows the wheel to run cool, resist loading, and reduce the risk of part discoloration and warping, thereby extending wheel life. The wheel is available in coarse, medium, and fine abrasive grades, using silicon carbide, a synthetic mineral known for its sharpness and effectiveness in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives integrate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating a consistent abrasive system that maintains performance by limiting clogging and running cool. Typical applications include blending, finishing, and straightline brushed finishes for builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plumbing fixtures, and turbine engines.
