3M™ Cubitron™ II Flap Disc 967A is designed for low to medium-high pressure applications on flat surfaces or outside edgework, making it particularly suitable for paint preparation and stainless steel fabrication where final finish and gouge resistance are critical. The disc features 3M Precision Shaped Grain that maintains super-sharp points for fast cutting with less pressure, engineered to operate cooler which helps reduce metal discoloration/oxidation and minimizes the risk of heat-related stress cracks. The flaps on the disc allow for grinding and blending in a single step. It is constructed with a durable Y-weight poly-cotton backing that ensures controlled, even wear, optimizing the disc's use during low to medium-high pressure applications. Additionally, a grinding aid is incorporated into the disc to lower grinding temperatures, making it suitable for use on heat-sensitive alloys, including stainless steel, titanium, and nickel alloys. Primary applications include edge beveling, edge chamfering, right angle grinding, and weld removal and finishing.
