This hard, open-web wheel is constructed with a durable layered unitized wheel design and a hard 7 density, offering low conformability for effective use with portable tools and die grinders to access tight or confined spaces. The wheel's synthetic web combined with the extra coarse silicon carbide effectively removes scale, surface contaminants, weld discoloration, and splatter while resisting loading even when removing soft coatings, producing smooth running performance. The silicon carbide abrasive is sharp and suited for low-pressure applications like paint preparation, breaking down faster than aluminum oxide but yielding a superior finish.
