The Scotch-Brite™ light deburring wheel is a smooth running, convolute-constructed wheel designed for light deburring, polishing, and finishing. It features a soft construction and smooth operation, allowing less effort from the operator compared to harder wheels. This wheel is particularly suited for applications requiring moderate conformability and density to maintain critical tolerances while achieving a fine polished finish. A unique resin system minimizes smearing and reduces heat build-up, ensuring the wheel runs cool and resists loading due to its non-woven web construction, which reduces the risk of part discoloration and warping while extending the wheel's lifespan. The light deburring wheel is available in fine grade abrasive and utilizes fine grade silicon carbide, a synthetic mineral known for its sharpness and effectiveness in low-pressure applications such as paint preparation. Although it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it offers a superior finish. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives combine abrasives with non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, delivering consistent results throughout the product's life.
