The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ Light Deburring Wheel 12" x 3" x 5" Fin Grit Silicon Carbide is a smooth-running, convolute-constructed wheel designed for light deburring, polishing, and finishing. It features a soft construction that enables smooth operation, requiring less effort compared to harder wheels. The wheel offers moderate conformability and density to maintain critical tolerances while delivering a fine polished finish. It incorporates a unique resin system that minimizes smearing and reduces heat build-up, running cool and resisting loading due to its non-woven web construction, which helps prevent part discoloration and warping and extends wheel life. The wheel is made with fine-grade silicon carbide abrasive, a sharp synthetic mineral ideal for low-pressure applications such as paint preparation, producing a superior finish despite breaking down faster than aluminum oxide. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives combine abrasives with non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers to create a consistent surface conditioning system with open-web material that limits clogging and maintains high cutting performance.
