The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EXL Unitized Wheel measures 6" x 1/4" x 3/4" and features a fine grit silicon carbide abrasive designed for smoothing, deburring, and finishing edges of metal alloys, plastics, and composites. The wheel has a soft, conformable consistency and is available in a range of densities and grades, from very soft 2 density for high conformability to a hard, aggressive 8 density for maximum cut and durability. The wheel edge can be dressed for effective deburring, finishing, and polishing of all metal alloys and many plastics and composites. Its tough, layered, unitized construction allows operation in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. The product resists smearing for cleaner surfaces, minimizes heat buildup to reduce impact on heat-sensitive materials, and is suitable for applications such as blending and deburring.
