The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ EX2 Deburring Wheel measures 6" x 1" x 1" and features a convolute-constructed design providing mid-range aggressiveness and hardness for deburring, edge radius, blending, polishing, and finishing. It performs best on sharp edges or metal burrs and combines mineral aggressiveness with density hardness for moderate conformability, wheel hardness, and edge retention. The unique resin system minimizes smearing and reduces heat build-up, while the open-web construction allows the wheel to run cool and resist loading, reducing part discoloration and warping and extending wheel life. The EX2 wheel is available in fine and medium grade abrasives with options of silicon carbide, a sharp synthetic mineral suited for low-pressure tasks like paint prep and finishing, or aluminum oxide, a hard mineral offering a high cut rate and long life. Silicon carbide breaks down faster but yields a finer finish. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives integrate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fiber surfaces, creating consistent performance throughout their life by limiting clogging through the open-web material. This wheel is suitable for applications such as blending, deburring, finishing, flat finishing, and polishing builder’s hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, and plumbing fixtures.
