The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ cut and polish disc measures 6 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch in thickness with a medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive. It is engineered to produce satin or high-luster finishes and can be used for cleaning or light deburring on a variety of metals. The disc features a durable open-web construction designed to resist loading and greatly increase its lifespan. The aluminum oxide mineral used in the disc offers a fast cut rate and long life, as it self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges, making it suitable for grinding, sanding, and finishing applications on ferrous alloys and other materials in woodworking and metalworking. Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives incorporate abrasives into non-woven nylon or synthetic fibers, creating a surface conditioning product that delivers consistent results throughout its life. Its open-web material limits clogging and maintains high cutting performance. This product is primarily used for surface conditioning and is applicable in industries such as marine.
