3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a heavy-duty sanding disc featuring a high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive backing for efficient application and clean removal. This disc is equipped with a heat-resistant resin bond and cloth backing, making it ideal for high heat and heavy-duty sanding applications. It contains aluminum oxide particles in a closed coat, providing a fast cut for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal. The versatile disc is suitable for deburring, blending, cleaning up, and finishing metal parts and surfaces of various sizes and shapes. The pressure-sensitive adhesive disc is designed to be pressed onto a backup pad, which is sold separately, and can be used with disc sanders, random orbital sanders, or stationary disc sanders. Aluminum oxide, known for its fast cut-rate and long life, is selected for its durability as it self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges during use, unlike traditional abrasives that wear down quickly. The heat-resistant resin serves as a sturdy binding agent that maintains the bond stability even under conditions of high heat or pressure.
