3M™ PSA Cloth Disc 348D is a heavy-duty sanding disc designed for high-performance applications, featuring a high-strength pressure sensitive adhesive backing that ensures efficient application and clean removal when attached to a backup pad or steel platen. This disc includes a heat-resistant resin bond and a durable cloth backing, making it suitable for high heat and heavy-duty sanding tasks. The closed coat of aluminum oxide particles provides a fast cut for grinding and dual action (D/A) sanding on metal surfaces. It is an effective tool for deburring, blending, cleaning, and finishing metal parts of various sizes and shapes. The PSA disc attaches securely to a disc sander, random orbital sander, or stationary disc sander. Aluminum oxide, selected for its fast cut-rate and long life, is a robust abrasive that self-fractures to reveal fresh cutting edges. With its hardness, strength, and low heat retention, this abrasive is extensively used in grinding, sanding, and finishing applications across multiple materials including ferrous alloys.
