The 3M™ Scotch-Brite™ cut and polish disc measures 8" x 1/2" and features a medium grit aluminum oxide abrasive designed for cutting and polishing to produce satin or high-luster finishes, suitable for cleaning or light deburring on various metals. The disc's durable open-web construction resists loading, greatly extending its lifespan. It utilizes aluminum oxide, a mineral favored in industrial applications for its fast cut-rate, hardness, strength, and long life, as it self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges unlike traditional abrasives that dull quickly.
