The wave spring, made from carbon steel, features an outer diameter (O.D.) of 3.118 inches, an inner diameter (I.D.) of 2.42 inches, a thickness of 0.035 inches, and a height of 0.207 inches. Manufactured in the USA, this product is packaged as a single unit. Wave springs can effectively reduce axial end play, particularly in ball bearing applications, and are suitable for light to medium loads in scenarios where limited deflection is either required or available. The spring exhibits a nearly linear spring rate between 20% and 80% of the available deflection, with an ideal deflection limit not exceeding 80%. Compared to curved springs, wave springs experience less expansion during loading, and the number of waves corresponds to the number of contact points on one side of the spring. The high carbon steel components are constructed from commercial grade 1074-1095 and are certified to meet ASTM-A684 standards.
