The Wave Spring is constructed from high carbon steel, featuring an outer diameter of 1.543 inches, an inner diameter of 1.201 inches, a thickness of 0.017 inches, and a height of 0.105 inches, all made in the USA and available in a package of 25. It is specifically designed for applications that require the reduction of axial end play, particularly in ball bearing applications, providing support for light to medium loads where limited deflection is necessary. The spring's deflection range ideally should not exceed 80%, and within 20% to 80% of the available deflection, the spring rate is nearly linear. Unlike curved springs, wave springs experience less expansion during loading, and the number of waves corresponds with the number of contact points on one side of the spring. The high carbon steel used for these products is made from commercial 1074-1095 and is certified to ASTM-A684.
