Product Details
The wave spring is constructed from carbon steel, featuring an outer diameter (O.D.) of 1.621 inches, an inner diameter (I.D.) of 1.261 inches, a thickness of 0.0185 inches, and a height of 0.112 inches. This product is made in the USA and is packaged in quantities of 25. Wave springs are designed to reduce axial end play, especially in ball bearing applications, and can handle light to medium loads while being suitable for situations where limited deflection is either required or available. The spring rate for wave springs exhibits near-linear behavior between 20% and 80% of available deflection, with a recommendation that deflection ideally should not exceed 80%. Compared to curved springs, wave springs experience less expansion during loading. The number of waves corresponds to the number of contact points on one side of the spring, and the high carbon steel used is sourced from commercial 1074-1095 steel, which is certified to ASTM-A684 standards.
