The Wave Spring is constructed from 302 stainless steel with an outer diameter of 0.305 inches, an inner diameter of 0.243 inches, and a thickness of 0.0066 inches, measuring 0.03 inches in height, and is made in the USA. This product is available in a package of 25 pieces. Wave springs are designed to reduce axial end play, particularly in ball bearing applications, offering light to medium loads with limited deflection. They maintain a nearly linear spring rate between 20% and 80% of the available deflection, with an ideal maximum deflection not exceeding 80%. Compared to curved springs, wave springs expand less during loading, and the number of waves corresponds to the number of contact points on one side of the spring. The stainless steel used is sourced from the 300 series and is certified to comply with AMS 5519, ASTM-A666, AMS 5906 (chemical only), and ASTM A 240-08A (chemical only).
