Product Details
The Wave Spring is constructed from high carbon steel, with an outer diameter of 2.645 inches, an inner diameter of 2.057 inches, a thickness of 0.028 inches, and a height of 0.184 inches. It is packaged as a single unit and is manufactured in the USA. Wave springs are designed to effectively reduce axial end play, particularly in ball bearing applications, and are suitable for light to medium loads where limited deflection is required or available. The spring rate for wave springs remains nearly linear between 20% and 80% of the available deflection, with an ideal maximum deflection not exceeding 80%. Compared to curved springs, wave springs exhibit less expansion during loading, and the number of waves corresponds to the number of contact points on one side of the spring. The high carbon steel components are produced from commercial-grade 1074-1095 steel and are certified to ASTM-A684 standards.
