The mobile lamp is designed for use in hospitals, clinics, and large practices, offering a timer and variable control. It is adjustable from 31" to 52", extending 15" over the bed. The unit features a 3 conductor cord set with a hospital-grade plug, a control panel containing an on/off indicator light, an intensity control, and a 30-minute timer switch. It is equipped with a 750W ceramic heating element that electromagnetically transmits extremely uniform heat to the patient, changing color from coral to gray when energized, while producing no visible light. The nickel-chromium resistance wire embedded in a ceramic casting ensures uniform heat transmission with 96% thermal efficiency and a low element surface temperature. Additionally, the inner body of the heating element is filled with ceramic fiber insulation to conserve energy, maximize efficiency, and minimize heat build-up at the terminal area. The heat-up time ranges from 3 to 9 minutes to reach a maximum temperature of 90 degrees.
