The standard infrared lamp features a height adjustable design ranging from 35" to 58", supported by a 13" x 13" mobile base, making it suitable for patients requiring supplemental heat treatments at home. It includes a 12" flexible arm and a 3 conductor cord set, along with a 250W ceramic heater and a protective screen. The ceramic heaters exhibit a color change from coral to gray when energized, indicating their operational status. Nickel-chromium resistance wire is embedded into a ceramic casting, providing uniform heat transmission with an impressive 96% thermal efficiency and low element surface temperature. To enhance energy conservation and efficiency, the inner body of the element is filled with ceramic fiber insulation, which also minimizes heat build-up at the terminal area. The heat-up time is efficiently designed to take between 3 to 9 minutes to reach a maximum temperature of 90 degrees.
