The 3M™ Diamond Cloth Disc 674W, available in 120 and 220 mesh grades, is designed for long-lasting cutting performance, making it ideal for finishing ceramics, carbides, and hard-coated materials. Compared to flexible metal bond diamond sanding discs, this product offers increased durability and a faster, more consistent cut, resulting in more uniform finishes. Optimal results are achieved when using this diamond disc with coolant or water, which enhances abrasive life and reduces grinding temperatures; it can also be utilized with oil- and water-based lubricants. Recommended applications include finishing and dimensioning hard-to-grind materials such as tungsten carbide, chrome carbide, thermal sprays, yttria-stabilized zirconia, alumina ceramics, and carbon fiber epoxy composites. Additionally, it effectively removes coating oversprays and coatings prior to part refurbishment.
