The OHAUS® Defender® 5000 Series multifunctional bench scale is designed for a variety of applications, including production, packaging, inventory, and shipping. It features maximum configurability for print output, GMP/GLP data output, and library/user management, making it well-suited for demanding industrial and commercial environments. The scale is Measurement Canada approved and NTEP certified. Key features include applications for weighing, parts counting, percent weighing, checkweighing, and dynamic weighing (display hold). The backlit liquid crystal display (LCD) has a resolution of 256 x 80 pixels. It operates with an internal power supply and power cord (included) or a rechargeable battery (sold separately as an accessory). Communication options include RS232 and a micro SD slot (included), a second RS232/RS485/USB device, Ethernet, and WiFi/Bluetooth, along with discrete I/O and analog output (sold separately as accessories). It provides GLP/GMP data output with a real-time clock. Constructed with a 304-grade stainless steel platform and frame, the scale features an IP68 indicator and an IP67 load cell, along with non-slip adjustable rubber feet. Additional design features include a resolution of up to dual range 3,000E, a 150% overload capacity, a checkweighing display with beep, a menu lock switch, selectable display languages, a selectable filter, a stability indicator, overload/underload indicators, selectable display controls, and auto print and tare functions.
