The Ohaus® Next Generation Defender™ 5000 Series multifunctional washdown bench scale is designed for various applications including production, packaging, inventory, and shipping. It features weighing, parts counting, percent weighing, check weighing, and dynamic weighing (display hold) functions. The scale includes a backlit liquid crystal display (LCD) with a resolution of 256 x 80 pixels. It operates on an internal power supply with a power cord included or can use a rechargeable battery sold separately as an accessory. For communication, it offers easy access ports including RS232 and a micro SD slot (included), with additional options such as a second RS232/RS485/USD device, Ethernet, WiFi/Bluetooth, discrete I/O, and analog output sold separately. The device supports GLP/GMP data output with a real-time clock. Constructed with a 304-grade stainless steel platform and frame, it includes a stainless steel IP68 indicator and an IP67 stainless steel load cell for single range or an aluminum load cell for dual range models, as well as non-slip adjustable rubber feet. The scale design supports a resolution of up to dual range 3,000e, a 150% overload capacity, checkweighing display with beep, menu lock switch, selectable display languages and filters, stability indicator, overload/underload indicators, selectable display controls, auto print, and tare functions. The scale is NTEP certified and Measurement Canada approved, and it comes with warranty terms as specified by the manufacturer.
