The OHAUS® Defender® 5000 series multifunctional bench scale is designed for a variety of applications including production, packaging, inventory, and shipping, showcasing a durable build and advanced features tailored for demanding industrial and commercial environments. This scale offers maximum configurability for print output, GMP/GLP data output, and efficient library/user management, alongside multiple connectivity options. It is Measurement Canada approved and NTEP certified. Key features include applications for weighing, parts counting, percent weighing, and dynamic weighing with a backlit liquid crystal display (LCD) of 256 x 80 pixels. The operation is powered by an internal supply with a power cord (included) or a rechargeable battery (available separately). Communication capabilities include easy access to RS232 and a micro SD slot (included), a second RS232/RS485/USD device, Ethernet, WiFi/Bluetooth, with additional discrete I/O and analog output available as accessories. Constructed with a 304-grade stainless steel platform and frame, an IP68-rated stainless steel indicator, and an IP67 load cell, it features non-slip adjustable rubber feet. The design incorporates a resolution of up to dual range 3,000e, a 150% overload capacity, a checkweighing display with beep, a menu lock switch, multiple selectable display languages, selectable filter, stability indicators, overload/underload indicators, selectable display controls, and auto print and tare functions.
