The OHAUS® Defender® 5000 Series multifunctional bench scale is engineered for a variety of applications including production, packaging, inventory, and shipping. This durable scale features maximum configurability print output, GMP/GLP data output, library/user management, and multiple connectivity options, making it well-suited for demanding industrial and commercial environments. The scale is Measurement Canada approved and NTEP certified. It supports diverse applications such as weighing, parts counting, percent weighing, and dynamic weighing (display hold), and is equipped with a backlit liquid crystal display (LCD) that has a resolution of 256 x 80 pixels. The operation is powered by an internal power supply with a power cord (included) or a rechargeable battery (available separately). Communication is facilitated through easy access ports including RS232, a micro SD slot (included), a second RS232/RS485/USD device, as well as Ethernet and WiFi/Bluetooth options, with discrete I/O and analog output available as accessories; it also provides GLP/GMP data output with a real-time clock. The scale's construction consists of a 304-grade stainless steel platform and frame, a stainless steel IP68 indicator, an IP67 load cell, and non-slip adjustable rubber feet. Design features include a resolution up to dual range 3,000E, a 150% overload capacity, checkweighing display with audio feedback, menu lock switch, selectable display languages, a selectable filter, stability indicators, overload/underload indicators, selectable display controls, and an auto print and tare function.
