The OHAUS® Defender® 5000 Series multifunctional bench scale is designed for a wide range of applications such as production, packaging, inventory, and shipping. It features maximum configurability print output, GMP/GLP data output, and library/user management, coupled with multiple connectivity options, making it suitable for demanding industrial and commercial tasks. The scale is Measurement Canada approved and NTEP certified. It supports various applications, including weighing, parts counting, percent weighing, and dynamic weighing with display hold. The backlit liquid crystal display (LCD) offers a resolution of 256 x 80 pixels. It operates via an internal power supply with a power cord (included) or a rechargeable battery (sold separately). Communication options include RS232 and a micro SD slot (included), as well as additional ports for a second RS232/RS485/USB device, Ethernet, and WiFi/Bluetooth, with discrete I/O and analog output available as accessories. The scale's construction features a 304-grade stainless steel platform and frame, an IP68 stainless steel indicator, an IP67 load cell, and non-slip adjustable rubber feet. Key design features include a resolution up to dual range 3,000E, a 150% overload capacity, checkweighing display with audio feedback, a menu lock switch, selectable display languages, a stability indicator, overload/underload indicators, selectable display controls, and auto print and tare functions.
