The Hughes mobile self-contained emergency safety shower with eye/face wash, model 40K45G, is designed to provide immediate response in emergency situations, featuring a 30-gallon (114 liters) water capacity for versatile deployment. This unit is constructed with a corrosion-resistant, polypropylene-lined pressurized cylinder which only requires a hose connection to a water main for filling. It offers easy maneuverability with a stainless steel frame and large diameter pneumatic tires, allowing it to be easily moved by one person. The adjustable wheel spacing enables the unit to pass through standard door openings, while a built-in A-frame with a towing hitch facilitates transport over longer distances and uneven surfaces using a small vehicle with a standard tow ball. The shower arm can be disconnected for compact transportation. The eye/face wash is equipped with a high ANSI-compliant flow rate and features an integral lid connected to the water valve for automatic operation, activated by simply pulling down the lid. Additionally, an easy-to-reach flow regulator valve on the side of the bowl allows for adjustment according to the severity of the accident. This safety shower is suitable for use in Class 1 Division 2 hazardous areas as well as non-hazardous environments.
