The cold climate emergency drench shower is designed for environments with a minimum ambient operating temperature of -4°F (-20°C) or above, utilizing Trace Tape heating with a polyethylene jacket and polyurethane foam insulation to enhance frost protection and strength. This unit is suitable for both Class 1 Division 2 hazardous areas and non-hazardous areas, and includes a universal safety shower sign for improved visibility, along with an inspection record tag for documenting service and test history. The shower meets ANSI Z358.1 2014 and EN 15154 standards and supports OSHA requirements, making it ideal for locations where the water may freeze due to extreme temperatures. The floor-mounted emergency drench shower features a high-performance quarter-turn ball valve made of 316L stainless steel, ensuring durability in harsh conditions. It includes polyurethane foam insulation, a medium density polyethylene impact-resistant outer casing, and a nylon 6 nozzle. The valve operates with low torque for reliable and easy on/off action, complemented by an integral heavy-duty stainless steel stop-plate for robustness. The coated stainless steel shower pull handle, paired with a nylon valve connection, facilitates immediate activation. This emergency shower also boasts a removable, self-draining overhead nozzle that achieves high flow rates to meet or exceed ANSI standards, crafted from durable nylon for optimal spray distribution. The construction features galvanized mild steel pipework, and some assembly may be required. The electrical supply is rated at 240V single phase, 60/50Hz, with a shower head diameter of 2"W x 2"D x 3"H.
