The computer numerical control system enhances precision through digital automation, providing users with improved control and efficiency. The Meehanite® casted Jet vertical mills with CNC packages ensure accurate results consistently. The CNC vertical milling machine package JTM-1254RVS features certified Meehanite® castings, a precision bored and honed milling head, high precision Class 7 spindle bearings, and a quick spindle feed nut. The Acu-Rite MillPwr G2 CNC controller includes USB and Ethernet compatibility, a simplified navigation system, a 12.1" high resolution display (1024 x 768) with 3D graphics, and a 1 GHz Celeron® M processor. Additional specifications include an expanded tool library, datum offsets, and a program preview that provides a graphical representation prior to operation, with a program size limit increased by 90% to 9,999 steps. Jog control allows rapid table movement using one axis at a time or any two axes simultaneously, while the system supports 3D contouring and the ability to import and run G-code files from CAD/CAM programs. The controller also features capabilities for mirror/repeat/rotate/explode/merge operations, menu-prompted conversational programming for creating and manipulating part programs, a built-in calculator for standard, trig, and geometry calculations, and customized pockets and islands utilizing optimized paths and ramp feed features. The design includes capabilities for circles, including pocket, frame, ring, and helix forms, and can be used automatically or manually.
