The CNC vertical milling machine package JTM-4VS features the Acu-Rite MillPwr G2 CNC package, which includes precision ground ball screws to eliminate backlash for precise lateral movements, and closed loop feedback utilizing Acu-Rite precision linear encoders with a resolution of 0.00005 inches. It is powered by robust DC servo motor assemblies with mounting castings and hardware included, as well as handwheels for manual operation. The Acu-Rite MillPwr G2 controller is USB and Ethernet compatible, featuring simplified navigation that eliminates multiple menu screens, a 12.1-inch high-resolution display (1024 x 768) with 3D graphics, and a 1 GHz Celeron® M processor. It also boasts an expanded tool library and datum offsets, with a program preview that provides a graphical representation before operation, and a program size limit increased by 90% to 9,999 steps. Additionally, jog control allows table movement from one location to another using one axis or any two axes simultaneously, and the system supports 3-D contouring with the ability to import and run G-code files from CAD/CAM programs. Users can easily manipulate part programs with features such as mirror/repeat/rotate/explode/merge to save time and reduce steps, while menu-prompted conversational programming allows for the easy creation and editing of part programs. The built-in calculator enables the performance of standard, trigonometric, and geometry calculations, which can be directly transferred into part programs, and custom pockets and islands feature optimized paths for efficiency.
