Jet offers complete, factory-installed CNC packages with a choice of 2 or 3-axis CNC controls, specifically designed for the JTM-1050EVS CNC electronic variable speed vertical milling machine. This package includes precision ground ball screws that eliminate backlash for precise lateral movements, along with a closed loop feedback system utilizing Acu-Rite precision linear encoders with a resolution of 0.00005". The powerful DC servo motor assemblies come with mounting castings and hardware, while handwheels are included for manual operation. The Acu-Rite MillPwr G2 controller features USB and Ethernet compatibility, a simplified navigation system that eliminates multiple menu screens, and a 12.1" high-resolution display (1024 x 768) with 3D graphics powered by a 1 GHz Celeron® M processor. It boasts an expanded tool library and datum offsets, a program preview function that provides a graphical representation before operation, and an increased program size limit of 9,999 steps. The jog control allows quick table movement using one axis at a time or any two axes simultaneously, and it supports 3-D contouring and the ability to import and run G-code files from CAD/CAM programs. Features such as mirror/repeat/rotate/explode/merge enable easy manipulation of part programs, while menu-prompted conversational programming simplifies the creation, editing, and management of part programs. Additionally, a built-in calculator allows for standard, trigonometric, and geometry calculations to be directly transferred into part programs.
