Jet offers complete, factory-installed CNC packages with your choice of 2 or 3-axis CNC controls, specifically designed for their CNC vertical milling machine package JTM-1254VS. The system includes certified Meehanite® castings, a precision bored and honed milling head, high precision Class 7 spindle bearings, and a quick spindle feed nut. The Acu-Rite MillPwr G2 controller features USB and Ethernet compatibility, simplified navigation to eliminate multiple menu screens, and a 12.1" high resolution display (1024 x 768) with 3D graphics. Powered by a 1 GHz Celeron® M processor, the controller also has an expanded tool library, a program size limit increased to 9,999 steps, and jog control that allows table movement using one or two axes simultaneously. Additional capabilities include 3D contouring, G-code file import from CAD/CAM programs, and menu-prompted conversational programming for easy part program creation and editing. The system is equipped with a built-in calculator for standard, trigonometric, and geometry calculations, as well as features for creating custom pockets and islands, circles, and utilizing new optimized path and ramp feed functionalities.
