Jet offers complete, factory-installed CNC packages with options for 2 or 3-axis CNC controls, enhancing the precision and efficiency of milling processes. The Meehanite® casted Jet vertical mills with CNC packages deliver consistent accuracy while ensuring durability through certified Meehanite® castings and Class 7 bearings that support the spindle for maximum rigidity in heavy cutting applications. The machine features a precision bored and honed milling head, an internally cooled spindle head that extends bearing, belt, and motor life, a quick spindle feed nut for adjusting different depths, and a one-piece quill pinion and shaft. Additionally, it includes a three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop, a heavy-duty spindle brake, precision hardened and ground ways and table, Turcite-B on the X and Y-axis, and adjustable gibs throughout. Safety features comprise certification by CSA Group, a swing away spindle guard, an L.E.D. work lamp, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base. The ease of use is highlighted by automatic lubrication every 30 minutes with a flow of 3-6 cc, an inverter drive system with an emergency stop on a swing away control arm, two 115V outlets on the electrical box for DRO or powerfeeds, dual locks on all movable surfaces, a chip pan, way covers, a draw bar, and a toolbox with tools.
