Jet offers complete, factory-installed CNC packages with your choice of 2 or 3-axis CNC controls, enhancing precision through a computer numerical control system that provides greater control and efficiency. The Meehanite® casted Jet vertical mills with CNC packages, model JTM-4VS, are designed to deliver accurate results consistently and are backed by the industry-leading Jet two-year warranty. The Acu-Rite MillPWR G2 CNC package features precision ground ball screws that eliminate backlash for precise lateral movements, closed loop feedback using Acu-Rite precision linear encoders with a resolution of 0.00005 inches, and powerful DC servo motor assemblies, including mounting castings and hardware. The package also includes handwheels for manual operation. The Acu-Rite MillPWR G2 controller boasts USB and Ethernet compatibility, simplified navigation that eliminates multiple menu screens, a 12.1-inch high-resolution display (1024 x 768) with 3D graphics, and a 1 GHz Celeron® M processor. Key features of the controller include an expanded tool library and datum offsets, a program preview that provides a graphical representation prior to operation, an increased program size limit to 9,999 steps, and jog control that allows table movement from one location to another using one or two axes simultaneously. The controller supports 3D contouring and the ability to import and run G-code files from CAD/CAM programs. Additional capabilities include mirror/repeat/rotate/explode/merge functions for efficient program manipulation, menu-prompted conversational programming for easy part program creation and editing, as well as a built-in calculator for standard, trigonometric, and geometry calculations directly into part programs. Custom pockets and islands utilize the new optimized path and rapid motion for improved efficiency.
