The Air-Care 18"x25"x1" electrostatic air filter is an EPA registered product featuring a MERV 8 rating. This air filter utilizes static electricity to clean the air, generating an electrostatic charge as air flows through a maze of static-prone fibers, which attract and hold airborne particles until they are released through washing. The filter is constructed with a silver frame made from a single piece of roll-formed galvanized steel, secured at one corner with a rivet, while the filter material is held in place by fibers catching on the expanded metal support and airflow. Unlike traditional commercial air systems that typically use 20 or 40+ 2" thick pleated filters, Air-Care's high arrestance, low resistance permanent filters serve as an economical alternative to disposable filters. Key features include a never-needs-replacing design, cleaner air quality, no harmful ozone emissions, reduced pollen, dust, and airborne pollutants, and a high dust and particle holding capacity.
