Air-Care 18"x20"x1" electrostatic air filter is an EPA registered product with a MERV rating of 8, designed to enhance air quality by utilizing static electricity. The electrostatic charge is generated as air flows through a maze of static-prone fibers, attracting and holding airborne particles until they are removed through washing. The filter features a silver frame made from a single piece of roll-formed galvanized steel, fastened together at one corner with a rivet, and the filter material is securely tucked into the frame, supported by expanded metal and airflow. Unlike typical 2" thick pleated filters used in commercial air systems, Air-Care's permanent filters offer a high arrestance and low resistance alternative, providing cost-effective benefits including a lifetime of use without replacements, cleaner air from reduced pollen, dust, and pollutants, and no harmful ozone emissions.
