Air-Care electrostatic filters are EPA registered and feature a MERV 8 rating. The Air-Care 16"x24"x1" electrostatic air filter utilizes static electricity to clean the air, generating an electrostatic charge as air flows through a maze of static-prone fibers. Airborne particles are attracted to and held by this charge until released through washing. Constructed with a silver frame made from a single piece of roll-formed galvanized steel, the filter material is secured within the frame by fibers that catch on expanded metal support and airflow. Many commercial air systems typically use banks of 20 or 40+ 2" thick pleated filters; however, the high arrestance, low resistance permanent filters provide a cost-effective alternative to disposable options. The filters never need replacing, contribute to cleaner air by reducing pollen, dust, and airborne pollutants, and produce no harmful ozone emissions. Additionally, they feature anti-microbial filter media, a high dust and particle holding capacity, and come with a limited lifetime warranty.
