Air-Care electrostatic filters are EPA registered and feature the Air-Care 14"x30"x1" electrostatic air filter with a MERV 8 rating. These filters utilize static electricity to clean air, generating an electrostatic charge as air flows through a maze of static-prone fibers, which attract and hold airborne particles until they are released through washing. Constructed with a silver frame made from a single piece of roll-formed galvanized steel, the filters are fastened at one corner with a single rivet, allowing the filter media to be securely tucked into the frame and held by fibers that catch on the expanded metal support. Designed for use in many commercial air systems typically employing banks of 20 or 40+ 2" thick pleated filters, these high arrestance, low resistance permanent filters offer an economic alternative to disposable filters. Key features include never needing replacement, cleaner air to breathe, no harmful ozone emissions, and a reduction in pollen, dust, and airborne pollutants.
