Air-Care electrostatic filters are EPA registered and feature the Air-Care 20"x25"x4" wide frame electrostatic air filter - MERV 8. These wide frame filters offer enhanced depth and versatility compared to standard filters, effectively cleaning the air using static electricity, a naturally occurring phenomenon. An electrostatic charge is generated as air flows through a maze of static-prone fibers, attracting and holding airborne particles until they are released through washing. The silver frame is constructed from a single piece of roll-formed galvanized steel, secured at one corner with a single rivet, while the filter material is kept in place by fibers catching on expanded metal support and airflow. Designed to serve as an economical alternative to disposable filters, these high arrestance, low resistance permanent filters provide numerous benefits including never needing replacement, cleaner air, no harmful ozone emissions, reduction of pollen, dust, and airborne pollutants, as well as reduced housecleaning.
